Internship Program

Atsign is a Silicon Valley–based startup founded in 2019 with a mission to redefine data privacy and build secure, resilient digital infrastructure. We operate as a flat organization, without traditional reporting hierarchies, empowering every team member to take ownership and drive meaningful impact. We’re looking for self-motivated individuals who will take initiative, identify gaps in our products and internal systems, and actively contribute to continuous improvement. Our annual Summer Internship Program runs for two months, from June 1 to July 31, 2026. This year, we are excited to offer internship opportunities in Developer Relations and Software Development.

Katherine Dong created “My Journal,” a privacy-focused journaling app. Built with Flutter and the atPlatform, the app allows people to create, edit, and share journal entries, all while ensuring end-to-end encryption.

Nora Bui wrote a Flutter app for secure and privacy-focused data sharing that addresses the real-world challenge of securely sharing specific data between different departments or branches of a business.

Roles

Software Developer Intern

We are seeking motivated Software Developer Interns to join our internship. This internship offers hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying software applications in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Dart, C)
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and GitBook
• Experience developing in a fast-paced collaborative environment (e.g. hackathons)

Developer Relations Intern

We are looking for passionate Developer Relations Interns to help bridge the gap between our engineering team and the developer community of our new product tool AI Architect. This role combines technical knowledge with communication skills to support documentation, community engagement, and developer advocacy initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing technical documentation for developers
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and GitBook
• Experience creating tutorials, videos, or technical presentations
• Understanding of APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
• Interest in developer communities and technology trends
• Experience with vibe coding

Important Information

• This internship is fully remote
• Weekly time commitment: 30 hours
• We would like at least 3 hours of overlap with Pacific Standard Time (9 AM – 5 PM PT), and availability for video calls that happen daily, usually between 9am-12pm PT
• Expected salary will be minimum wage in your region of permanent residence
• A reliable internet connection is necessary
• There will be a demo day at the end of the internship
